Skin tags are benign, non-cancerous skin growths that look like a small piece of soft, hanging skin. Skin tags are harmless but unpleasant for women skin appearance.
They can grow on any part of body – in most cases on eyelids, armpits, neck, breasts (under breasts), groin, chest and skin folds. Appearance of skin tags and sizes could be different – commonly irregular in shape, brownish fleshy color hanging from the skin – small (approximately 2.5-3.5mm in diameter) or big like grapes (4-5cm in different shapes). The composition of skin tags include nerve cells, fat cells, core of ducts and fibers, covered with epidermis. Usually bunches of collagen and blood vessels that are trapped inside thicker bits of skin are responsible for the cause of skin tags.
Very often skin tags develop in middle age overweight or obese women, pregnant women or in women with diabetes. Older women could be considered as a risk group for skin tags. Because of skin tags many women feel quite embarrassed and do every possible trick to get rid of them.
